Sydney’s music scene will be graced by a brand new festival this month, as Parrachute Music Festival is set to unfold over four massive nights this March. The festival promises a lineup packed with some of the most exciting talents from Sydney and beyond, including the dynamic crews of Bodega Collective, One Day, Hotter Out West, The Area Movement and more curating a programme that boasts sets from the likes of Miss Kaninna, the soulful Kaiit, the effervescent Tiffi, and a Souled Out pre-party that will feature the internationally acclaimed DJ Andre Power from London’s Boiler Room.

Parrachute Music Festival is more than just a series of concerts; it aims to celebrate diversity, home-grown talent, and the vibrant music culture that thrives in Sydney and beyond. With shows open to all ages and an array of food and drink options available, including the Archie Rose pop-up bar and Soul Bowl food trucks, the festival promises an inclusive and unforgettable experience for music lovers. #1. Souled Out Pre-Party presented by The Area x Hotter Out West: Thursday 21 March in Parramatta

Kicking off the festivities, the Souled Out Pre-Party, presented by The Area x Hotter Out West on Thursday, 21 March in Parramatta, sets the tone for what’s to come. The collaboration between two titans of the local scene brings together an eclectic mix of local DJs for a night filled with dance, rap, R&B, and more, with Andre Power headlining to ensure the festival starts on a high note. The event emphasizes community and talent from Western Sydney, providing a platform for emerging artists to shine.  All ages + Free entry. More info here.

#2. Bodega Collective presents Tee Up: Friday 22 March in Parramatta

The momentum continues on Friday, 22 March with Bodega Collective’s ‘Tee Up’ in Parramatta, showcasing an impressive mix of local rappers and DJs, including triple j’s 2023 Unearthed High winner Lee. Known for their legendary “Pass the Mic” event series, Bodega Collective brings its unique ethos of music, arts, and fashion to the festival, promising an unforgettable experience. #3: NGANA BIRRUNG (BLACK STARS): Penrith (22 Mar), Parramatta (23 Mar) & Campbelltown (24 Mar)

The festival takes a soulful turn with NGANA BIRRUNG (Black Stars), a series of concerts celebrating First Nations music talent. Headlined by ARIA award-winner Kaiit and featuring the captivating Miss Kaninna and Kootsie Don, the lineup promises powerful performances that blend stunning vocals with fierce rhymes. The concerts are set to take place in Penrith, Parramatta, and Campbelltown from 22 to 24 March, offering a rare chance to witness these incredible artists on stage. More info here.

#4: Tiffi & Friends: Sunday 24 March in Parramatta

Capping off the festival, Tiffi & Friends on Sunday, 24 March in Parramatta presents a night of alternative R&B, electronic, and indie music. Western Sydney’s own Tiffi, with over 13 million streams to her name, curates an evening with some of Sydney’s freshest acts. This intimate show, presented by the Inner West’s One Day record label in collaboration with the City of Parramatta, is a must-attend for anyone keen to discover the next big thing in Sydney’s music scene.
